What Owners Say

"very reliable. strong acceleration. very comfortable for 4 adults. can't stand the radio. very maddening just to figure everything out about it. they keep trying to reinvent the wheel. made it way to difficult."

William G., MA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Drives nice & handles well"

Eddie H., PA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Great handling and acceleration especially for four-cylinder."

Anonymous, WV (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The car handles beautifully, very smooth."

Diane C., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Comfortable but not exciting"

Anonymous, CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration is good with the 6-cyl. but the handling could be better."

Bruce O., FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Great driving experience. The ability to shift gears at will with the automatic is helpful on rumps and in mountains"

Rudolf G., MA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Shifts on cruise control with a jolt at 80mph. This is the only complaint about this vehicle."

Betty R., MT (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Very good acceleration for a 4-cylinder engine; I feel very comfortable with that for merging in traffic, etc. Handling is also comfortable and reliable; no need for alignment for 4+ years of driving."

Thomas C., NC (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I have put new tires on the car and this problem still exists When driving if you make slight adjustments either direction then let go of the wheel it stays at that position, it does not return to neutral or straight ahead. I have had the dealer look at it, realign the front and they don't know of anything that causes that"

Anonymous, TX (2013 Toyota Camry)

"my only complaint about this vehicle is that it has a ride which is 'harder' than I would have thought. I have a 2000 Camry as well which has a better ride than the 2013 Camry."

KEN H., VA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The car 'lurches' if you give it just a tiny bit too much gas (like when first starting up from stop or from a creeping speed). The steering is TOO positive - it's hard to keep the car straight without any jerking, especially when at highway speed."

Anonymous, FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The electric motor adds a good boost when it comes on, regardless of vehicle speed."

Anonymous, CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I had an Acura before but the Camry is so much more comfortable and easier to drive."

DENI D., OK (2013 Toyota Camry)

"It accelerates quickly if needed and it handles bad weather nicely. The tire traction is good in snow and the traction control is great."

Anonymous, OR (2013 Toyota Camry)

"It's quick for a Camry."

Anonymous, KY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"driving and handling very good.6 speed automatic is great."

Anonymous, AB (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The car handles great especially with how big and roomy it is."

EVAN N., FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Noisy"

RICHARD J., FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Love Camry on long distance rides but this is a trade off for the lack-luster boring handling experience. I'm looking forward to a self driving Camry."

SCOTT O., VA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Driving at any speed and conditions is a pleasure. Suspension, handling and engine (4 cyl) and transmission response is awesome."

RICHARD F., MA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Good acceleration when passing other vehicles."

Anonymous, BC (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Easy to handle, accelerates fast when passing."

ANDRE L., ON (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I've owned '88, '99, and '13 Camrys. Each one has been successively harder to turn in a small area. I hate having to do u-turns in the '13 Camry or even back out of parking spots when the next row of cars is close."

Anonymous, VA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Very smooth shifts. Power when you need it."

Anonymous, NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The driving itself is good but the visibility is not good when parking or driving close to other vehicles. I can't see the front and back of the car from the driver's seat. The roof pillars are also farther forward than I am used to and at times I think that limits the view of traffic on cross roads when approaching an intersection."

JOANNE F., KY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"This is the smothis driving car I ever had. I owned a Chrysler 5th av. and Chrysler Town & Country Van, But this is the best. Fred"

Anonymous, IN (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration is much better than our previous V-6 Camry even though this one is only a 4 cylinder."

FRAN W., WA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I was very surprised by the maneuverability. Our previous sedan was a 1998 Accord. By comparison, the Toyota "turns on a dime"."

KENNITH L., AL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration is poor. Compared to other 4-cylinder engines I've driven, the Camry's acceleration leaves much to be desired. Also dissatisfied with road noise. Sometimes hard to hear the radio, or passenger conversation, due to road noise."

KEN F., GA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Although the Camry has a reputation as a slow car with uninspiring handling, I have found it quick enough and agile enough for my purposes."

Anonymous, ON (2013 Toyota Camry)

"just answered that in last question"

Anonymous, FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I think I said it all ready acceleration is just right, handles well"

J H., AZ (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Should have bought 6 cylinder. The four is under powered at times."

Anonymous, MA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The car still wants to control me instead of me controling the acceleration. Also the tire light constantly is annoying and I feel the tire wear is expensive 12 tires up to 61000 miles!"

ANNE S., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"4 cylinder is peppy. The turning radius is fantastic. Visibility out the windows compared to previous auto is low and possibly dangerous."

BETSY N., PA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration is sometimes a bit slow."

Anonymous, NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Excellent handling as well as acceleration."

JAMES M., WI (2013 Toyota Camry)

"this car handles especially well in heavy rain... very surprised and happy with its "hug" to the road feel in the rain."

Anonymous, AR (2013 Toyota Camry)

"handles great, a good feel driving on expressways and it gets superior gas mileage for its acceleration"

ART W., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Very good acceleration for a 4 cylinder. Handling is not sporty, but solid."

TOM F., NC (2013 Toyota Camry)

"ifmyoou slow down then give it gas there is no response until it reaches a point and then it shift to lowest gear so the gar lurches forward. It's like the transmission can't sense what to do."

Anonymous, OH (2013 Toyota Camry)

"In S mode it flies and seems so powerful; even in D shift the acceleration is great. I love how tight the turns are when I turn right.."

HELEN A., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I am surprised how smooth the acceleration and relatively brisk for the 4 cylinder engine. I am not sure why you would need a v-6 for 98% of the time. It handles well, but the steering is a bit light as to a Honda which give more road feel."

WILLIAM I., NJ (2013 Toyota Camry)

"At low speeds it trembles like a stick shift car would if it was it too high a gear. It's an automatic and shouldn't do that."

CLAIRE W., CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The throttle tip-in is too abrupt."

RODNEY F., BC (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Because of location of seat head rests and the column between the front and rear door it is very difficult to see out the passenger side windows."

Anonymous, IL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Doesn't hold road real well"

Anonymous, KY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration"

Mike S., TX (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Has the acceleration to avoid dangerous situations."

W K., FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Radar-based speed control system is irritating. It makes it harder to overtake a car while in the passing lane, as it automatically slows down cruise control. I would rather have the autonomy to make my own choices in handling. Acceleration from slow speeds (i.e., after turning a corner) is sluggish--almost like there's a governor--at a time when I want to quickly get back to driving speed."

Kevin B., MN (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I'm very happy with the way the Camry handles in local & highway driving. It's a firm, secure ride, not mushy. I do wish Toyota would add a rear window wiper! My car accelerates quickly when needed such as highway merging."

Anonymous, NJ (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The hybrid is not as much fun to drive as prior 4 cylinder Camry's. The hybrid system seems to make the car sluggish. I was disappointed with the hybrid experience."

Stephen B., DE (2013 Toyota Camry)

"acceleration is more than adequate; handles nimbly; continuously variable transmission is wonderful, instantaneous response, never a shifting jerk and smooth acceleration"

Thomas M., AL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Very good . No complaints ever."

Elsie M., TX (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Responsive and reasonable acceleration"

Jimmie F., GA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration and handling"

Anonymous, MD (2013 Toyota Camry)

John P., MA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Ease of handling and acceptable acceleration."

Anonymous, GA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Gas pedal is stiff and hard to control"

Anonymous, CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Everything. It's just a great car. Handles well in traffic, firm stop when needed in traffic, quiet, air condition is even temp. Just a great car"

Dorothy C., CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Not really driving, it's the navigation. It's not the easiest to set up and it's gotten me lost three times when following the directions."

Anonymous, KS (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Very smooth acceleration and easy manuvering in highest traffic. Excellent all-round visibility in traffic."

Anonymous, OK (2013 Toyota Camry)

"2013 XLE 3.5L V6 has way more power than needed. In my testing 0-60 mph is 6 seconds or less as long as the traction control does not jump in do to wheel spin. Quarter mile time has been reported to be around 14 seconds. Very few big block cars from the sixties could claim that. As far as handling goes this is not your grandmothers Camry. 2011 Camry's and older had a extremely soft ride but handle like mush. 2012 and up Camry's handle extremely well but the ride is much rougher. Is it too rough? It's an acceptable trade off for me. Others need to decide for themselves."

William B., MN (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Responds so well to acceleration; easy drive."

Anonymous, MD (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The car handles consistently well. This and acceleration seem improved over the 2012 Camry."

James E., WI (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Using the engine and battery acceleration is very quick."

Daniel A., PA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Vehicle performs well with or without traffic. Easy steering and response"

Albert L., TX (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The Atkinson cycle engine with CVT transmission make for the smoothest driving car I have ever had."

Frank D., TN (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Acceleration is great in this car, but in terms of handling, the car is great on dry roads but often the tires spin and I don't always feel comfortable accelerating on wet roads. I haven't experienced driving in snow, yet but I expect handling to be worse than average."

David S., VA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The electrical drive gives a good butst of power at any speed."

Anonymous, CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Still has the pep to accelerate on the highway to get me passing easily."

W L., MA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"It accelerates great both with only the driver or with a full trunk. It has a great sporty ride and has plenty of leg room for me being over 6'2" tall. Nice trunk space for not being the LE like my last Camry."

Stanley C., CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I got a v6 engine and really appreciate how responsive it is. I don’t ever want to go back to a v4 engine."

Anonymous, NH (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Excellent and very responsive acceleration and handling"

Susan R., FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Handles nicely for the size of car and acceleration is great because of the electric hybrid motor. Great for passing and going from a stop at red lights to get around slower vehicles"

Eric D., IN (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Good acceleration. No feel of shifting."

Anonymous, NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Since most anywhere I go in San Antonio it is more convenient to access the expressway. Therefore, when I purchased my 2013 Toyota I told the salesman that I wanted a car that could accelerate and get to the traffic speed quickly. This car has great acceleration and I feel safe keeping up with the traffic. I also wanted a car that had a heater and an air conditioner. I feel that able to merge into traffic and keep up with the traffic is a great factor in safety."

Anonymous, VA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Has good power when merging onto the highway. I appreciate the back-up camera and the safety of the blind spot warning system. The cruise control I use all the time to keep a consistent speed; just wish others would use it, as sometimes I need to slow down and speed up because of them. I get mileage of about 28 mpg, when I drive and then it is less when my wife drives. She hardly ever uses cruise control."

Richard R., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The acceleration for this hybrid is nice. Even at highway speeds, there is no lack of power to accelerate. Uneventful, yet competent handling as would be expected for a sedan. I has been very reliable so far."

STEVE D., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"This car has cloth seats which are great on hot days. However, the driver's seat is not as plush or comfortable as the 2011 car we got for our son, that one has leather seats. Also the back seat is not comfortable for a short person as it sits too low and is sloped too far back. I do love the power driver's seat, I can raise it up fully to see over the dashboard! Darrell R., CA (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I'm 6 feet 2 inches tall. The seats are contoured so that your neck and head are pushed forward in order to be in contact with the headrest in order to get better safety ratings. However, with my height, the upper part of the seat was digging into my shoulder blades and was very uncomfortable. I had to have the seat back altered by an auto upholstery shop to flatten out the top of the seat. All of the auto manufacturers are doing this now! I don't fit in any of the current sedans. I will have to have whatever next new car I buy have the driver's seat modified. This is ridiculous. Why don't they make the seat back height adjustable?"

"The little bit more expense for the hybrid is quickly returned in the gas economy; 42 highway and 36 town. It is lower in the winter in town: 26 mpg. The 4 cylinder engine generates electricity, and electric motors drive the car. The electric motors have quick torque, so power is not a problem. And they generate electricity when stopping, which is stored in a battery for use on the next acceleration. Also, the excess electricity that is generated by the engine while driving is stored in the battery. And, if the regular car engine could not start, the car could drive as an electric vehicle on the stored battery electricity for a while."

Walter K., AL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"I am so totally disappointed in this camry after owing them from the time they came out with camry in early 80's I will not even talk about buying another Toyota of any kind especially since Toyota did not stand behind paint that just keeps coming off and the road noise so bad this car has never been wrecked just think what it would be if it had."

What Owners Say

"The exterior paint is extremely hard to clean and shows every drop of water/dirt. Even washing it will not get rid of the spots, you have to hand wax it and sometimes even that doesn't work"

Anonymous, NM (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Not particularly happy with the exterior color I picked."

Anonymous, FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"We liked the trim lines of the 2013 a lot more than our previous 2008 Camry."

"Interior is excellent - style and function, exterior is somewhat bland"

STEVE D., NY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"Not a style guy, looks just like a lot of other cars."

"Nice style"

Anonymous, FL (2013 Toyota Camry)

"The SE front end is far better looking on the 2013 than the restyled cars of what's currently for sale as new SE Camry's. I would consider trading just for the sake of it after 3-5 years but since ours only has 40K or nearly that, and runs flawlessly, no need to get an ugly car to replace it!"

Anonymous, KY (2013 Toyota Camry)

"My Camry is a SE with leather dash, seat and interior trim. The power driver's seat is a dream, my first.the SE has a unique front grill and air effects with trunk lid spoiler that separates it from from thr LE."

"The paint is THIN and not very sturdy. It scratches very easily -- I bet I could scratch it with my nail."
