"This is a design defect. Many Camries have it (check the Internet). In my case, the phone may pair all time if the car was parked when temperature around was moderate or in garage. If it was left in a parking lot under extreme cold or extreme heat, the problem happens. When you start car, the phone is paired for 1-3 minutes, than the car does not "see" it. Sometimes, phone pairing may start to work after several weeks. If the car software is rebooted, the problem is fixed - until the next parking during summer or winter. A Toyota dealer tried to blame my phone several times, but then admitted that (a) the problem is real and (b) they cannot fix it. Therefore, I am driving my car with failed hands-free phone option most of the time.
