"There is lots of headroom. The seats are wider than other vehicles we looked at so they don't force your legs and hips to curl up at the edges of the seat like many other vehicle seats do. That also applies to the seat backs. Many other vehicles have narrower seat backs that force your shoulders to bow inwards but the Highlander seat backs are wider and more comfortable. There is also ample seat room in the 2nd row of seats, even for tall people. This makes it a comfortable ride for long commutes and trips. "Dependable SUV, gets good mileage, has a comfortable ride. We have a travel trailer and it has done a good job pulling our RV. There is plenty of storage space in the back and if the middle seats are folded down, it can really carry a lot. We've used the rear seat on occasion to carry an extra 2 passengers; it's not that easy for passengers to get in and out of the rear seats. Good to have it in a pinch, but not that practical."
