Anonymous, SC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration and handling are excellent. Easy to drive, easy to park. Pleasurable experience."
Sandra S., MD (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Although a six cyclinder, sluggish transmission really makes driving a uninspiring experience"
Raynard B., MA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Styling, safety features, handling, front shelf, accent lighting, panoramic moonroof, interior design, convenience features and more."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration is a little bit disappointing for a 6 cylinder especially when passing or entering traffic on the interstate."
Wayne B., SC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"When you are idling, like at a light, the engine seems to drop, and the car jolts a little. When you accelerate again, there is a 1-2 second delay as the engine seems to rise again. Very strange!"
Anonymous, NC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Very quiet, smooth ride and great responsive handling in all types of weather"
Edward E., NY (2018 Toyota Highlander)"We cannot merge into traffic easily as the accelerator must be near the floor for proper entry. Dealer indicates transmission dictates this procedure."
Anonymous, AR (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Slow down when car ahead exits"
Anonymous, MD (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Really nice tight handling, good acceleration and easy to tell when you’re in power mode vs a more eco-friendly mode. Not a bouncy ride at all, good suspension for an SUV."
Jessica D., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The vehicle behaves very well. Acceleration is very good with its eight speed transmission. Hill assist is great. We would like to have a tad bit more steering wheel power assist."
George P., AR (2018 Toyota Highlander)"This vehicle is AWD and has advanced collision avoidance systems. I love the acceleration and handling. I always have enough power when I need it. The handling is very sure and responsive."
Allen E., AL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Smooth and quiet"

Pamela G., NY (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Best deal I ever got, will buy this type of car again"
Ron-Sandy P., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Poor throttle response. Takes considerable effort with the gas pedal to get the engine to make power. Then the power comes all of a sudden and not in an incremental way, so it is hard to control engine revs."
Anonymous, PA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The Toyota Highlander drives with ease and the beeping when you cross the white line on the right is a great plus."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The vehicle handles very well for a SUV of its size. The V6 has plenty of punch. It’s easy to speed in this vehicle if you are not careful."
Anonymous, WI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Love the get up and go! Also, all the safety features."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"I find that it is more responsive to rapid acceleration in situations where that is needed. Didn't expect a vehicle of this size to accelerate as well."
Joyce B., PA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration is jerky because it searches for gears at lower speeds & will drop to a lower gear than necessary in normal driving."
Anonymous, ID (2018 Toyota Highlander)"This vehicle feels more like a sports car than an SUV"
Anonymous, OR (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration from a stop in my 2018 Highlander is significantly less than what it was in my 2015 Highlander."

John G., FL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Excellent acceleration and the way the radar cruise control works."
Jim S., AZ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"I think the engine doesn't have the power to handle such a heavy vehicle. The transmission is not very smooth shifting thru the gears."

Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The Highlander handles well and is a smooth ride."
Anonymous, AZ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Comfort, drive,"
Gary K., GA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It has engine off on which is horrible. Engine will shut off and on 3 times while maneuvering into garage. No way to shut it off permanently. Must remember each and every time car is started Hate it!"
Neil F., OK (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The vehicle is a bit underpowered. I'd like to see faster acceleration."
Anonymous, MI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Excellent acceleration & handling"
Anonymous, WI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Great highway comfort n driving"
Anonymous, MI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Drives nicer then my Mercedes"

Laura Z., IL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It is a pleasure to drive. Quiet smooth ride with great power and acceleration for a 6 cylinder. Safety system is new to me and I find it a valuable tool for driving in high traffic New Jersey."
Anonymous, NJ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"I dislike the engine start/stop feature. It defaults to on each time the car is started. It turns off the engine even for very brief stops at stop signs. Annoying."
Michael F., NH (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Fun to drive, responds well, and is fast!"
Anonymous, OK (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Highlander is very quiet. Engine is also very quiet (you hardly detect it is running). Acceleration is good and ride is smooth and comfortable (better than my 2012 Avalon). Fuel economy at 70 MPH on Interstate trips is consistantly above 27 MPG. Have had as high as 32 MPG over a 400 mile trip."
Anonymous, IL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It is more sluggish and does not accelerate as well as my previous car (Avalon) I miss the quiet, smooth ride and the power I’m used to."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"At every small or large demand for more power the 2018 hesitates and shifts gears. The 2002 Highlander is super smooth accelerating. The 2018 engine hesitates at every stop sign while it restarts. Scary when making left turns in heavy traffic."
Anonymous, WA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"This car handles very well. I like the blind spot feature."
Anonymous, NC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"good acceleration with the 6 cylinder"
Anonymous, NJ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Of all the SUVs we test drove, this one had the best frive feel and comfort."
Anonymous, PA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Very good driver and easy to park"

Anonymous, WI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"it is quiet and rides well. build quality is good"
Anonymous, IL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The Highlander handles well and since it's a V6 it accelerates well when merging onto a freeway, when passing a vehicle or going up hill."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The new cruise control so much different than the old. Even at the close in setting it slows too soon when you are approaching traffic from behind like cruising on the interstates. Have noticed a couple times on my recent 2000 mile trip that it can falsely sense traffic in the next lane and slow down for trucks going around some corners for example. I do like how it automatically slows when traffic slows & adjust as traffic speed changes. However I do not like the harsh acceleration if you pull out into the left land at say 8 MPH under cruise setting the car down shift & accelerates hard to get back up to speed."
Dennis B., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Great acceleration and handing"
Terry C., NC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Accelerates good has a snow button that works in the snow to get the car going used the locking diffential once to get unstuck"
Robert E., MD (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Transmission shifts too often in traffic and does not shift smoothly - has too many gears (8). Acceleration has "hesitation"."
Kl D., LA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"stop start system defaults on when car is started. Has to be turned off each start if you dont want. Need to be able to disable it if you want permanent"
Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"ONLY ISSUE IS THE STEERING WILL TRACK WITH ROAD WAY "RUTS" OR TRACKS IN BLACK TOP OR CONCRETE SURFACES."
Randy B., MN (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Good acceleration, responsive handling with sport tuned suspension, excellent cruise control."
Anonymous, MN (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Handles very well and suv’s have had handling issues in the past, but think manufacturers have nailed it. The V6 has good power and accelerates quickly and smoothly."
Anonymous, WY (2018 Toyota Highlander)"handles nice"
Anonymous, FL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Smooth handling, responsive steering, good acceleration"
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Very firm road handling at all speeds. Excellent acceleration from any starting speed. A real pleasure to drive."
Anonymous, AZ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Handles very well around corners and accelerates very nice"
Bradley C., WI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The handling is very sure and responsive. Gear change to high is premature."
Anonymous, OR (2018 Toyota Highlander)"great acceleration, very peppy, I have one dislike if you have to swerve away from another car on the freeway, the car feels top heavy and sloppy, it took me like 3 or 4 more corrections to recover, I thought i was going to lose control. I recovered but had to change my undershorts after."
Jerry W., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"This is a bigger SUV than we have previously owned, but I have found the acceleration and handling to be very satisfying so far."
Anonymous, FL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"I felt like the highlander handles very much like the Avalon which had previously owned 4 of those."
Anonymous, IA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Recent road trip from Orange County, CA to Denver and return resulted in an average 29.2 mpg. Around our home it is about 18. Extremely comfortable ride and has plenty of acceleration."
Everett I., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration from stop is problematic as it hesitates before it takes off."
Anonymous, GA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration is adequate but sometimes abrupt when using cruise. Handling is good. Lane-keeping doesn't keep the car centered in the lane, only moving the car back into the lane if you drift to the side or center."
Anonymous, VA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration not as smooth as my 2012 Highlander I just traded in."
Anonymous, GA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"acceleration and handling is just so great and Quiet"
Robert R., NJ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The steering is very responsive. With the hybrid system the acceleration both from a stop and when passing is excellent."
Viriginia S., WI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"I drive in a lot of work week traffic and I need to be able to quickly change lanes and accelerate on a moments notice. This car has great pick up speed. Not sluggish in the least. And I am so in love with the AWD feature on my car! Will NEVER go back to front or rear wheel drive ever. ONLY AWD!! Feel so confident even in wet conditions."
Ann Z., AL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Surprisingly powerful and nice handling for this size vehicle."
Anonymous, OR (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The highlander gets bigger with each model and thus is harder to handle — clunkier. Go back to the size of the 2013 model"
Anonymous, CO (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It has ample power to go where ever you want too. The safety system helps make it feel safe in all diving conditions. It handles cornors and difficult terrain without any difficulty."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The car is easy to drive and handles well for the size. The eight speed transmission tends to shift too quickly into a higher gear when accelerating."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Never owned a hybrid before will buy this type a car again, love it,!!!!"
Ron-Sandy P., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Excellent acceleration and great handling all around."
Anonymous, NC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It handles very well and acceleration is better than I thought it would be."
Marian H., PA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Accelaration is good but transmission have some hesitation on start. Handling is fair don't ask a beef to skate with elegance"
Anonymous, QC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Good seating position. Good safety systems. Acceleration not quite as "snappy" as I'd like."
Gary A., TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"25% of the time when accelerating up hills over 60 mph on a highway, the engine shakes and shutters. Once the accelerator pedal is released, the vehicle is calm. At the 10,000 mile oil change with the dealer, no shaking was found. Of course, it only happens 25% of the time appoximately."
Joseph H., MD (2018 Toyota Highlander)"This suv is super quiet and you are isolated from the bumps and pits of the road. The suv handles like a much smaller suv and it has plenty of power to get on the highway."
Paul G., NJ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Rather weak acceleration; must enable "power" mode every time the car is started."
Anonymous, SC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Smooth acceleration and handling."
Anonymous, NV (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The acceleration is smooth and the ride is the best of any car that I have ever owned. I'm in love with my new Highlander Hybrid."
Jim S., NY (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It is my wifes car and she wanted an SUV as she xxxx the feeling of being high up from the ground. We picked the Highlander as of the result of its Consumer Report ratings."
Ronald G., WA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The acceleration is more than sufficient and the handling is responsive."
John A., CT (2018 Toyota Highlander)"the acceleration, and handling are exceptionally good when towing a trailer."
Sue J., CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"HANDLES LIKE AN AUTOMOBILE. SMOOTH ACCELERATION. QUIET RIDE,"
Robert B., OH (2018 Toyota Highlander)"For A V6 engine I don't think it moves out like it should when eccelerating on the gas"
Holley W., VT (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Hybrid drives very well...handling is not nimble but well controlled. Acceleration is good with eco-mode off, but adequate under almost all other scenarios. It gets exceptional mileage for a car of its size and weight"
Anonymous, NJ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"We hate the engine shut off feature when you stop for lights. It can be turned off, but must be turned each time you start the highlander. It should be turn it on if you want the feature. We see no noticeable mileage difference using it. If I wanted a hybrid I would have purchased one."
Anonymous, WA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Pleasure to drive, many comments from friends about the good looks of this vehicle !"
Anonymous, PA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It has the same engine as the Lexus RX 350 which has great performance."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"excellent drivability. solid quiet and peppy"
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Ease on snow and poor driving conditions"
Mark G., NY (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Very good for suv"
Anonymous, OK (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The acceleration is amazing. If you drive without rapid acceleration, it gets great fuel economy for it's size."
Chris E., WI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"quiet—ride is perfect—loaded with great options"
Anonymous, IL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"FWD Acceleration is good, but the AWD is a bit better from a standing start. Handling is good but a bit soft in cornering. Would prefer to permanently turn off start/stop feature."
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Quiet, gas mileage, comfortable seats, navigation. Safety technology."
John L., NC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Bad voice command. She doesn’t understand English."
Anonymous, IL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"* speed transmission not smooth"
Robert B., IL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Handles great plus excellent storage"
Ed K., FL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Not really handling but more of a parking brake issue. When the vehicle is parked at a forward downhill angle and the parking brake is used the vehicle will still lurch forward a bit. When the parking brake is release, there is a loud clunk sound from underneath the vehicle. I took the Highlander in at 700 miles for this issue and was told that it will go away in time since it was still new. After researching on the internet, I have discovered other instances of this issue not only with the Highlander but other Toyota vehicles. Not a big issue but hopefully not a bigger issue later."
Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"excellent"
Anonymous, AZ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Very fuel efficient when driving with a light foot, while power is available when needed. Vehicle feels safe."
Jacques L., QC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"I like the vehicle except that I would prefer that it have more power plus I think Toyota could have done better with the 8 speed transmission. It seems to go into lower gears than it should when calling for power and there are times that the transmission seems bump back and forth in the same gear."
Anonymous, AL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"good comfortable ride with minimal outside noise"
Daryl C., UT (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The technology and safety builds are exceptional. Came from Mazda CX-5 and doesn't compare with what the Highlander offers for just 2 mpg penalty."
Jeanie-David C., PA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Highlander has good pick-up and go, yet delivery very good fuel economy."
Anonymous, TN (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Nice acceleration."
Anonymous, WA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It is all great"
Anonymous, BC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The lane departure and radar speed control make driving much safer for me. Very accurate and dependable. The most responsive steering I have encountered in a vehicle."
Michael M., MI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration is responsive smooth and same with stearing"
Thomas A., SD (2018 Toyota Highlander)"transmission is slugish at slow speeds, will not shift low enough for good power in stop and go traffic, handling is top heavy at speed, seems unsteady"
Anonymous, SC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Great handling with surprising speed if needed for a large vehicle."
Lloyd W., FL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Hybrid system is excellent at this stage. I guess time will tell."
Anonymous, BC (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleratiin"
Anonymous, ID (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Great Acceleration and handling"
Edward P., NJ (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The driver assist is great to have - lane keeping, blind spot monitor, rear view camera, and adaptive cruise control. Winter handling has been very good though never really sure when the snow setting should be used."
Joseph B., CT (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Accelerates well. Handles a bit sloppy on tighter curves. Hydroplanes too easily in the rain, but that may be the (original equipment) tires."
Robert W., MI (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Good power from the engine. Good overall control of the vehicle."
Anonymous, MO (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Engine stops/starts when vehicle stops. Infotainment system complicated with multiple apps required."

Anonymous, CA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Good turning radius."
Betty V., MO (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Acceleration is a tad slower than I want. But, I'm not a race car driver so the acceleration, while not a neck-buster, is alright."
Douglass B., FL (2018 Toyota Highlander)"It helps me merge into traffic quicker on freeway"
Anonymous, TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)"Handles well and comfor table to drive"
Anonymous, WA (2018 Toyota Highlander)"The engine provides good acceleration. Reasonable gas mileage. I have no issues with the engine. One of the reasons I purchased a Highlander instead of a Pilot is the Pilot's 9 speed transmission. I was in the market for the upper trim level. It tended to hunt for gears at low speed. I don't sense that in the Highlander. I'm still getting used to a transmission that can shift 8 times, but I don't detect it hunting for gears like the Pilot."
Jerry B., TX (2018 Toyota Highlander)
"handles wekk. I particularly like the fact that I cross the line the car pulls me gently back"
Anonymous, ON (2018 Toyota Highlander)
