The RAV4 is a well-rounded package, combining good all-around performance with a comfortable ride and agile handling. Its engine gets impressive fuel economy and an optional third-row bench was offered to bring seating to seven in a pinch. Cabin furnishings include straightforward controls, a roomy rear seat, and generous cargo space (with the tiny third row folded).

What Owners Say

"Excellent acceleration for a car with a smaller engine."

Anonymous, VA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The 3.5 liter motor is a gem -- loads of torque, smooth, and decent fuel economy for its displacement (and the weight/drag coefficient of the vehicle)."

CHRISTOPHER B., OR (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"acceleration and handling are very good for this class of car"

ROBERT S., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Excellent acceleration! V6 engine"

ANDRE P., TX (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"For the money it would be hard to find a car that is quicker than the V6 on my RAV4."

FRED O., WI (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"We observe the following with our RAV4 Sport with V6: 1) Great handling, as the suspension is tight - great for sporty driving. However, riders can feel jossled and tossed around a bit. 2) The accelerations is strong after an annoying, unexplainable and very noticeable hesitation when the gas pedal is initially pressed, even at high speeds."

JEFF S., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration is a bit over brisk when starting from a full stop. I have investigated the possibility of changing the throttle response curve, but the Toyota says it isn't possible. It is a minor problem but a bit scary when you push the accelerator a fraction too far on acceleration from a full stop. Otherwise, we love the acceleration and handling of the car."

RAY P., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Drives nice and easy to handle. Very satisfied with purchase."

GERRY D., ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The shifting sometimes slips during acceleration."

CHARLES C., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Handles well on open road and is easy to park. Window visibility is good and size of suv is great for parking"

LIND F., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I got the V6 and it's a blast to drive. Sorry to hear the re-styled RAV 4 no longer has the faster engine as that's what sealed the deal when buying this vehicle."

WALTER N., NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6. Remarkable acceleration, like driving a sports car."

TOD N., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"at 80mph the car shakes"

LINDA O., MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"v6 is a great engine"

Anonymous, MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Accelerates quite well for small engine; handles like a dream but inside comfort level almost non existent unless you are under or just at 5 ft tall - definitely meant for smaller people (I'm 5'5", normal weight) and the cabin is tight, uncomfortable, and difficult for long drives."

CYNTHIA V., LA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration is exceptional with the V-6 engine and handling is secure. Living in a rural area with several 25-35 mph rated corners, the vehicle can easily be driven 15-20 mph above recommended corner speeds by an experienced driver."

FAYE H., WI (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The v-6 engine provides outstanding performance making it something of a hot rod and very satisfying to drive at high altitude in the Colorado Rockies. Yet as outlined in the Consumer Reports review at the time the vehicle gets about 1 mpg less than the standard engine available at the time. This performance and the solidness of the car and with no problems at all make this A very good value. In addition all maintenance is provided by Toyota for the first two years."

MICHAEL M., KS (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I bought the RAV because I wanted 4WD and the ability to tow a 3500lb trailer. It tows the pop-up camper like it's hardly there, and it's very stable doing it. I drive a snow plow, so I wanted 4WD to get to work in all weather. The RAV has done this safely and dependably even during two ice storms."

Anonymous, NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Both acceleration and handling are excellent."

Anonymous, MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Power is ample. Able to pass vehicles quickly. Handling is good, especially for a tall vehicle."

BRIAN L., CT (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Excellent acceleration good cornering for an SUV"

TIMOTHY T., NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Good power and handling with the V6 you can't get that now. four wheel drive has saved me on a number of trips."

Anonymous, UT (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Responsive handling; easy to view all around because of the level of seat above the street."

Anonymous, OH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I like the turn radius, how easy it handles, and how easy it is to get into tight parking spots.(parallel parking)"

Anonymous, PA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"1. V6 engine provides the acceleration when needed. 2. 4WD provides the traction needed under icy and snowy conditions."

P M., ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"6 cylinder in my RAV4 has very good acceleration and is actually fun to drive. New models only have 4 cylinders and lack enough acceleration and are not as much fun to drive. Toyota made a mistake getting rid of the 6 cylinder RAV4s."

Anonymous, NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration v6 is great"

JOHN B., PA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The performance of the V6 engine is excellent, which helps make this an excellent car for highway driving. Handling is decent, but not outstanding."

JOHN L., WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Doesn't accelerate very quickly, but it's what you'd expect from a 4 cylinder engine"

GAIL G., WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"It is a rocket and all wheel drive. Amazing..."

JAMES L., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The V6 engine on my Toyota RAV4 Limited is indispensable. It was one of the mandatory features I required when I was shopping for a RAV4. Accelerating to merge into traffic is a breeze, and the AC cools much more quickly than the 4 cylinder version. It was a mistake for Toyota to stop offering V6 RAV4s."

DONALD H., MD (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"There are blind spots with the mirrors and backing up it is difficult to judge clearance"

DAVID B., IL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This car is wicked fast. Able to make safe passes on two lane roads with no difficulty."

DAVID J., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The acceleration is very peppy and the handling is perfect. My brother drove the RAV, when he was here this summer and he was pleasantly surprised how quickly it responded when he first started to drive down the driveway. He said he didn't expect so much power. I love driving my car."

SHARON T., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"With the V6 and Sport suspension, the RAV4 is very nimble: extraordinary acceleration, very sporty handling, with a tight, composed ride. I see newer models include rear-view cameras to overcome the limited rear visibility. If they put the V6 (or better yet a V6 hybrid) in a new model, I'd seriously consider buying one. As it is, however, with 34K miles on my 2011 model, I don't think I'll *need* to upgrade it any time soon."

GARY S., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"4 cylinder engine has poor acceleration."

HENRY R., WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Awesome acceleration (V6). Excellent handling."

Anonymous, WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

Anonymous, ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"6 cylinder very good power"

KIRK S., OR (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 in the RAV4 is outstanding Nav system and backup camera are great"

"Great acceleration,rides stiff."

Anonymous, OH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Effortless and smooth V6 power."

Anonymous, NH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Great pick up and turning ability."

JACK T., ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"acceleration and handling are unreal for a vehicle like this. i call it a cheap BMW X3. the AWD system is particularly impressive as is the gas mileage given the performance you get."

VINCE C., TX (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Excellent handling and acceleration thanks to the 6 cylinder engine."

JOSEPH H., CT (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 is outstanding. Power and econemy"

Anonymous, CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"It's fun to drive, including turn and burn (in an empty parking lot, of course!). 2011 Rav 4 only has Bluetooth, don't use it."

DIANE B., OH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"It has more than adequate acceleration and handling for everyday driving and get me out of jams many times. It is a very nice driving SUV/CUV."

Anonymous, AB (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I do not like the breaking. It take too long to come to a stop. The breaks have been checked twice. I am afraid that I will rear end some one. Not the greatest in the snow. I had a 4 wheel drive truck before. Great acceleration V6"

Anonymous, ME (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration, cargo space, comfortable seating, versatile"

COLBY D., MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Excellent V-6 acceleration. Handles well on straightaways, curves, and hills/mountains."

RICH M., IL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The 6 cylinder has plenty get up and go."

Anonymous, WI (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"When shopping for this RAV4 I wanted the 6 cylinder motor but time grew short. I settled for the 4 cylinder motor since I had read Toyota was going to drop the 6 cylinder motor and the 4 cylinder motor was by far the choice of other consumers. Also the RAV4 competitors all had 4 cylinder motors.During my test drive I thought the acceleration was adequate. It didn't take long in real driving conditions that is was totally inadequate. Three different auto repair shops, including a Toyota dealershi"

Anonymous, TX (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Great acceleration when it is needed."

JAMES F., NH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Great to drive, very responsive, very good for winter driving, good to have 4 wheel drive 4 winter where we live."

Anonymous, NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Quick acceleration from standing start"

George P., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"It's a little on the slow side. Sometimes, given the gas mileage that I get, I wish I'd gotten the V6."

Anonymous, OR (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Precise, no sway, handles well, absorbs bumps well."

Anonymous, FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 cylinder - excellent acceleration."

Jerry G., ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration is impressive; 0-60 in 6.7 seconds! Most other SUV's are in the 8's and 9's. The ride is comfortable and quiet. I put General RT43's on when I needed new tires (A year later CR rated them tied for second place) and they help improve the handling and are wearing well. I am very pleased with the car and may have to keep it forever since Toyota downsized and detuned the model."

Mahlon D., PA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 delivers great acceleration. The sport version comes with very firm suspension for super handling, but sometimes jarring ride on rough pavement"

Kenneth C., MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I have the V6 engine. Great acceleration. Nothing else comes close to its power."

Larry L., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"It is a six cylinder model with all available control features; therefore, it handles very well under adverse driving conditions. Its acceleration is more than adequate."

Anonymous, MD (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Roomy ,lumbar support, handling ,acceleration were better than I expected"

Anthony F., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This car has been very serviceable as a family car and traveling car.It has terrific visibility, parks in a reasonable space, and has a wonderful rear door for loading. It is manual,it is less likely to break Than a electric door. A good basic vehicle with great visibility and hauling capacity. It handles well in traffic for a big city or country road."

Anonymous, TX (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The Rav has the sweet 3.5 engine and it is very quick while still being quite economical. Body and suspension both tight."

Terrence C., SK (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"My RAV4 is easy to maneuver in all traffic, easy to park, and the seat elevation allows me to see all traffic around me."

Ellen O., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Very quick in handling and acceleration. Easy to maneuver and get around in. For a four cylinder engine it is quite peppy."

Thomas M., NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Vehicle is extremely peppy"

Anonymous, ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The 6 is very very smooth and very responsive with lots of torgue. Transmission up shifts smoothly, but down shifting not that effective unless you drop down to 2nd or low. For an somewhat awkward looking suv the handling is pretty acceptable but with under steer.. Braking very good too."

Anonymous, BC (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Very versatile with AWD on snow & unpaved roads. 6 cyl has good acceleration and tows 3500 lb trailer. Easy to drive around city with good visibility."

James E., MO (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This is my 2nd RAV4 - the first one saved my life in an accident - so, I would say safety is the outstanding factor."

Anonymous, MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration is excellent, particularly in passing situations. Handling is excellent, both on-road and off-road."

Anonymous, MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 is the poor man's muscle car. Great for the mountains and camping."

Anonymous, RI (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Good vehicle but4 cyl is low on passing power"

Benjamin T., VA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 provides good torque and acceleration."

Robert L., NH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Acceleration is poor but I will sacrifice that aspect for high fuel economy. The vehicle is clumsy to park in tight spaces."

Charles C., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This care is responsive, has great get up and go and handles easily, even on dirt roads."

Ellen P., NV (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Great acceleration with the car unloaded. It is a little strained with a vacation-heavy load going up hills, though. Decent handling for a small, top-heavy SUV."

Brent S., MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"V6 acceleration is amazing, however, with the high horsepower comes the realization that Toyota did not originally design this chassis for the 3.5 V6 that mine has. 268 horsepower completely overwhelms the front suspension and I find myself fighting enormous amounts of torque steer under mid to full throttle application. This is a very dangerous situation if you are not familiar with how to deal with it. If you are not careful you will end up in the ditch or a tree. It is also a fuel hog when dri..."

"I am very short. Make the seats go up higher"

Anonymous, IA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Heated Seats! Fabulous in winter!!"

SUE H., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Seats too small for my weight. Passenger seatbelt won't adjust. Locks up."

LAURA A., IL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Toyota needs to reduce the road noise on their RAV4 vehicles. The brakes really squeal when backing up in the drive way first thing in the morning. This review is for my 2008 RAV4, not a 2011."

RALPH H., NC (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"SEATS, front - uncomfortable on longer drives because of pressure from a basset low in the seat back. Our CRV seats are very comfortable."

Anonymous, CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Lot of road noise"

Anonymous, OK (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"For the most part the comfort meets or exceeds our expectations. The only exception is that there has been a long time occasional rattle which the dealer can't seem to locate and repair. As it doesn't always occur when receiving service on the car, I'm uncertain if it is an unknown problem or the mechanics just don't care."

T F., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Very "hard" ride on rough roads at slow speeds."

GEORGE P., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I do not like the ride. Every little bump and unevenness in a road jolts the rider. The only surface that produces a smooth ride is an asphalt road."

"4 cyl is somewhat noisy, but has plenty of snap for me."

Anonymous, PA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Very harsh ride!"

Anonymous, MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This model year of the RAV-4 rides very roughly, and already feels at 60K miles like the struts need to be replaced. Plus, on a very hot day, the A/C unit takes ten minutes to cool the car."

"adjustments on seats are manual and not easy to do."

Anonymous, CT (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Love the heated front seats. We have a V6 that easily tows our small travel trailer. Unfortunately, Toyota no longer makes a RAV4 with sufficient towing capacity, so we will be looking for a different vehicle when this one is replaced."

JON P., CO (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The headrest is not conducive to good posture. Because it tilts forward, it pushes your head forward into an unnatural position. This has caused me to have problems with my neck."

Anonymous, WI (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Grouped in your sentence was seating and noise; however, my only complaint is the noise and somewhat bumpy ride and NOT the seats which I find, btw, very comfortable. It's just a noisy SUV that seems to "bounce", "Jiggle". It's not a "smooth" ride."

CAROL D., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Air conditioner is not that powerful"

Anonymous, CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

Anonymous, OH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"We had back aches and stiff joints after a long drive in previous vehicles. None of that in our Rav 4."

ERIC W., BC (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"seat comfort. seating portion of seat is very short, legs "hang" over the edge of the seat. padding is just adequate, nothing great, average at best."

Anonymous, AB (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Very room and adjustable rear seat. Good under floor storage in cargo compartment. Road noise is high. Steering wheel controls are clumsy to use for phone and sound system. Radio display has a very low character limit. Menu system is clumsy but easy to understand. Power windows rattle incessantly."

Anonymous, GA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The front passenger's seat is extremely uncomfortable. My wife hates driving with me, as a passenger, because of this."

JACOBSON J., KS (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Drivetrain whine. Most noticeable between 20 and 50 mph."

Anonymous, OH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The car is noisy when driving it. The rear door opens left to right. It can be inconvenient at times and it rattles and makes noise. The back seats are uncomfortable. Good things: The spare is a full tire. The air pressure indicator also monitors the air pressure in the spare. The driver's seat is comfortable. The car gets good gas mileage and there are been no problems with performance."

L R., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Road noise at highway speeds is somewhat irritating."

Anonymous, CO (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Seats, climate control are excellent. Ride is very good. Road noise seems high for a vehicle at this price and trim level."

JOHN L., WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Very uncomfortable seats. Window trim on front passenger window came off. Wind noise very annoying. 4 cylinder engine has poor acceleration."

HENRY R., WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Excessive road noise inside vehicle . ( all windows rolled or closed ) ."

JOHN K., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"A/C compressor failed after 60000 km car has been excellent otherwise"

DAVID H., NS (2011 Toyota RAV4)

RANDY L., MA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"does not have power or memory seat controls. does have good throttle response. noisy rattle in rear door."

Anonymous, OH (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"We have the Sport edition with the leather option but the seats are hard, the back seats don't recline very far and the climate control is inflexible with one setting for the front, front passenger, rear passenger and rear compartment There are hangers in the rear for shopping bags but they are so low to the ground the bags fall off. There is no cargo net and there is no practical place to hang coats or nice clothing without obscuring the view for rear passengers. On the other hand, even though"

GERRY K., SK (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Ride is somewhat stiff"

Anonymous, CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Wind noise is higher than expected. Probably due to surprisingly poor part fit."

Anonymous, WA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Although there's plenty of headroom and legroom, the seats themselves are designed for little people. At 6'2", I wish I could have ordered seats from a Highlander or Avalon."

GARY S., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"We observe the following with our RAV4 Sport with V6: 1) comfortable cloth seats and climate control, 2) Noisy ride - folks in the back seat have difficulty hearing what front-seated folks are saying."

"Cab is noisy and uncomfortable. Sound system is a desecrate. Difficult to hear over road noise. Auxiliary input module is poorly designed and extremely over-priced."

RICHARD P., PA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"We live in country. All our Toyotas (RAV, Scion XD, old Corolla) have mice coming into them via ventilation system. Our Ford and BMW don't have this problem. Recently they destroyed the heating box, $1000 damage. We constantly clean up feces in the vehicle. Repairman said this is common problem with Toyota."

THOMAS K., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Cutting down on road noise would be most welcome - it's the car's only serious shortcoming to me."

"Much rougher ride than I anticipated."

JOSEPH I., KY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Seats are uncomfortable on anything nore than a 30 minute drive. There is not enough range of adjustment for these seats to be comfortable for an adult male. Lumbar support is poor, fore and aft range is short, height adjustment doesn't go high or low enough and the worst thing is that the seat springs squeak endlessly."

"Seats need better lumbar support."

SUZANNE W., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Leather seats, road clearance, ride, and noise level are all first rate."

"More wheel and road noise in this and the 2002 I had before, compared to other vehicles I have owned. Leg room in 2011 is bad for right leg- console is too wide - aching knee on longer trips. Electroic(?) throttle is bad, often jumps from a dead start (traffic light, etc) Worst is brake and accelerator pedals. Too close together and almost the same height. Very easy to hit them both when braking quickly, have had some close calls."

"There were many good reasons for buying the RAV4. However, whereas the seating is acceptable, the noise and ride aren't the high points. It rides like a truck and there is significant wind noise, especially from the back passenger side door."

R S., MD (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Extremely rough ride with associated road noise."

George P., MN (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I actually drive the RAV4 every day to and from work. It is easy to handle in all traffic and is easy to park. I also like the fact that the seat elevation allowed me to see the traffic around me clearly. We did take the RAV4 on a 400-mile trip, and it was a noisy ride and a bit bumpy."

Ellen O., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I am still amazed at how comfortable this RAV4 is on long trips. We drive 8 hours to visit family and we take the RAV4 instead of our Avalon, because the RAV4 seats are more comfortable. It is a lot noisier though."

Alan K., MD (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"No complaints"

Reginald H., MB (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"did not have memory seat for an option, tried to have one put in afterwards but dealer said none available. a pain to use switching drivers"

William T., CT (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Seats are.too close to dash for drivers over 5" 10". Otherwise very comfortable. Good headroom. Very good adjustment. Good room in 2nd row."

James E., MO (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The Rav4 is the best car I can imagine for living in the high desert. The seats are comfortable and allow for a more "upright" posture if desired. The biggest thing is, I feel safe in all types of weather and the heating and air conditioning match the extreme conditions in Nevada."

Ellen P., NV (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Ride is kind of bumpy and car is noisy when driving on highway. Seats lack support and cushioning and feel soft after owning for six years."

Thomas M., NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Excellent driving position, comfortable seats"

Martin O., IA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The 2011 RAV 4 has one of the worst drivers compartment I have ever used. It seems to have been designed for people who drive extremely close to the wheel, or for drivers under 5'2". At 5'6" I have the seat racked all the back to its rear most stop and I still feel cramped. The steering wheel has an extremely small range of adjustment both tilt and telescope, the seat back does not support my upper whatsoever and the armrest is too low. When I drive this vehicle for extended periods of time, my..."

What Owners Say

"I used your Auto Buying Program when buying this car and delt with the dealers who called me (within minutes)by phone. All had trouble finding a sport model RAV 4. One dealer from Madison WI said there was a base model sport that had the sun roof and all wheel drive. I didn't know that. He sent the info. When that dealer received three (other dealers MN/CO talking with me had no RAV 4 Sports in stock), he called me; gave me first choice of the color and I bought it. Easiest car purchase I"

PAT D., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Car has been a great driving experience, handles well on highway and in town, easy parking, great on gas, lots of head room I'm tall. Plenty of space in the back when seats down."

JACK T., ON (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"We definitely are still enjoying the good value of the Rav4. We have had no problems with the car. It is definitely a sturdy, dependable, car. We also bought a Hyundai for my daughter, a 2009, and it was not as well made. Little things just kept breaking, like the visor, the radio, and finally as soon as the warranty was up, the transmission went. The Rav4 is a much better car."

Anonymous, NJ (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Virtually trouble free, exactly what I expect in a new vehicle"

Anonymous, OR (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"There is a full size spare on the back of the vehicle, which Toyota has nonsensically removed on the current RAV4. This adds to the value of my RAV4. Also, the rear door swings out rather than up, also adding the the value and utility of this car as opposed to newer RAV4s. Because of these stupid decisions on Toyota's part, I will never buy a new RAV4"

"Completely reliable and a smooth, powerful V6"

Anonymous, VA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This car does everything I need, but nothing outstanding: Haul hay (Hitch), an upright bass, 5 people, and gardening bricks, etc. It's not as sturdy as my old Honda Pilot, so can't give it A+ rating. Example: Bought it and loaded it with yard bricks. Cracked the interior plastic which they replaced, but ... Just not the Pilot."

ALISON L., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The vehicle was purchased by us used in 2015 and it had only 4,000 miles on the odometer. Although we paid a decent price for the vehicle it had been owned (we believe) by someone who had passed on and the family did not trade or sell it for some time. It was in very good condition."

"Best general utility vehicle I have owned -- and I have owned a lot of them."

DAVID S., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"For the price I can't think of another vehicle that offers the power, comfort, space and safety of this RAV4. The problem is they no longer offer a V6 engine. I had a 4 cyl RAV4 in the past. It was very slow. I would never buy one without V6 power."

JAMES L., NY (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Mileage should be better for this car, but it's solid and nice to drive."

Anonymous, SC (2011 Toyota RAV4)

Daniel S., IA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"This vehicle handles well and sufficient power to handle loads. The gear shifting is sometimes uncertain and the side view mirrors are not designed well. The dash controls are somewhat non-intuitive and could be improved. Despite one major recall issue there have been no major repairs required."

Charles C., CA (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"I bought the base model 4 cyl. It does everything you could want from an suv - and it is not too big and not too small for carrying the odd items. I don't put too many miles on my cars, so I can foresee having this car for at least ten years - trouble free."

Ronald L., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"Relatively inexpensive vehicle, we paid 24K for ours 7 years ago and have had no mechanical problems at all. Only expenses have been oil changes, battery, tires and brake service"

Anonymous, MO (2011 Toyota RAV4)

N T., FL (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"It has been totally reliable in all regards. I spend considerable time in Maine and find that the car handles very well on ice and snow. The seats are very comfortable, the ride is smooth but a bit noisy depending on road conditions and speed."

Anonymous, MD (2011 Toyota RAV4)

"The 3.5 V6 RAV4 base model is a great buy. Better suspension, wheels and tires, and acceleration that won't quit. I've had it 6 years with no problems at all. It cost only a little more than buying a used model, especially with 0% financing for 5 years!"
