On May 5, 2020, Giving Tuesday Now will take place for the first time as a response to the unprecedented need caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

This special day of unity and giving presents an opportunity to come together and support communities and nonprofits around the world. Whether it’s advocating for an issue you’re passionate about, sharing a skill, helping a neighbor, or giving to important causes, every act of kindness makes a difference.

Since its founding eight years ago, Giving Tuesday has inspired charitable giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. Giving Tuesday Now will take place in addition to the regular Giving Tuesday, which falls annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 1 this year).

Whether or not you donate, you can spread the word about Giving Tuesday Now via social media, including Twitter, using #GivingTuesdayNow.
