Jennifer Stockburger is responsible for the daily operations of CR’s Auto Test Center, the organization’s 327-acre facility in Colchester, Conn., one of the largest independent consumer automobile testing centers in the world. She also oversees the staff and testing programs responsible for the continuous ratings of numerous tires and child seats.
Her work, along with that of other engineers and professionals in the Auto Test Division, provides the basis of the automotive, child restraint, and tire reports in Consumer Reports magazine and at CR.org. She is also a frequent face and voice on Consumer Reports’ automotive podcast, “Talking Cars,” and a media resource providing information on automotive safety, child passenger safety, and tires.
Jennifer Stockburger holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs. Jennifer Stockburger lives in East Hampton, not far from the Auto Test Center, with her husband, daughter, and son.
For fun, she has a 1967 Mustang convertible that she reluctantly admits is the only really cool thing she owns.
