    To get rid of bad breath germs, clean your tongue twice a day with a regular toothbrush or one with an attached tongue cleaner. Or try a tongue scraper. Mouthwash and cinnamon gum may also help. See your doctor if bad breath persists, which can signal illness, such as sinusitis, tonsillitis, and some lung or stomach problems. See your doctor and dentist if bad breath persists.
