iPad glitch: My iPad is forcing me to use my Windows computer

Consumer Reports News: April 03, 2010 10:14 AM

The Apple iPad will be put through a thorough,
unbiased review by the experts at the Consumer
    Reports labs in Yonkers, N.Y.

I'm setting up my brand new iPad at Consumer Reports labs in Yonkers to test it. Just plugged it into my office Mac and it won't connect to iTunes. And I recently upgraded my iTunes to version 9.1.

    The error message says:

"The iPad cannot be used because it requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later."

My office iMac is running OS X 10.4.11  It isn't that old, is it?

    Oops.

Good thing I have a computer handy with Windows 7 on it. This is the first time an Apple product has ever forced me to use a Windows computer!
