The iPad needs some support: Don't use on a flat surface

Consumer Reports News: April 03, 2010 10:29 AM

It's not easy to use an iPad on a flat surface, I just discovered when I lay my new model on my desk. Not only it is hard to type and read, but it retains whatever orientation you last used (portrait or landscape) for as long as it lays flat...at least it did for me. Ten minutes later, the display still looks sideways.

Unfortunately, since Apple's prop-up carrying case isn't widely available yet, you'll have to prop it up with, say, an airplane neck pillow or anything wedge shaped.

Hey, this sounds like a perfect problem for Stephen Colbert to solve.
