Memorial Day weekend can be a great time to go shopping for a new car. Discount prices and cut-rate financing will be heavily advertised in print and on air, competing for your attention and dollars. But not all deals are as good as they may appear, and a smart shopper needs to look at the pricing, discounts, and the quality of the car itself. And as we've said many times in the past, even a great deal on a lousy car is never a good move.
For this truly American holiday, we're spotlighting the best deals on 2010 recommended models from U.S. companies.

Some models listed below have significant savings of up to $6,000 off MSRP. A number of deals end on June 1st, but others will still be available until June 30th.
