While most of our attention at Vizio's booth at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) show yesterday was focused on its polarized 3D TV, the company was also showing a new wireless Blu-ray player and a wireless router that use dual-band technology for improved wireless performance.
Both the Blu-ray player, model VBR231, and the wireless router, the XWR100, can transmit data simultaneously using both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. The VBR231 player is priced at $200 and arrives next month, while the XWR100 router is priced at $100 and will be available sometime in the third quarter.
At the event, Vizio also showed its new lineup of headphones, including some with Bluetooth wireless technology, as well as some new portable LED TVs in very small (7- and 9-inch) screen sizes.
