Apple launches program for free cases for iPhone 4

Consumer Reports News: July 23, 2010 10:24 AM

Apple has launched its program for free Bumpers and cases, following up on its promises made last week to fix the iPhone 4's antenna issue.

Owners of iPhone 4 will need to go to Apple's website, https://www.apple.com/iphone/case-program/, and download an app to their iPhone in order to take advantage of Apple's offer.

Apple's website also says new iPhone 4 buyers who want a free Bumper or case need to apply within 30 days of their phone purchase. (And for current iPhone 4 owners who bought the smart phone prior to July 23, hurry. You need to submit your request for a free case by August 22.)

We'll have more details soon.
