Giving new meaning the decades-old line "That's all folks!," TomTom has added
Looney Tunes voices to its growing pantheon of downloadable character voices. The roll-out has begun with Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam. In October, Daffy Duck and Sylvester become available, followed by Pepe le Pew in November. These voices are all performed by Emmy award-winning voice actor, Joe Alaskey. The cost for download is $12.95.
Sample quips include:
Bugs: "Say doc, after 600 yards stay in the right lane. What's this rabbit's foot doin' in the glove box?" Yosemite Sam: "Sharp left, ya humpbacked muley. Then go straight on. This ve-hicle ain't big enough for the two of us!" These professional voice packages include background music and sound effects from the cartoons. You must supply your own carrots, doc.
In addition, there are
free Loony Tunes elements that can be downloaded and installed in TomTom portable navigation devices, such as start-up screens, on / off sounds, and an arrival sound, complete with music and voice.
Earlier this month, we added
many new GPS navigators from Garmin, Magellan, and TomTom to our ratings, including the TomTom XL 340 S Live, XL 350, XL 350T, XXL 550, XXL 550T. (See "

What Looney Toons characters would you like to see be made available? Foghorn Leghorn? Marvin Martian?
