The huge consumer frenzy called Black Friday is almost upon us. But at the Consumer Reports Electronics Blog, we've been busy for weeks (even as far back as July!) studying industry trends, poring over leaked store ads, and determining whether offered deals are genuine bargains.
Some electronics categories are offering lots of good sales; others, not so much. We've also found that some stores really stand out in what they're offering, but others aren't trying nearly hard enough to give you a reason to get up before the birds on Friday morning.
