Black Friday Deals: Video-game consoles and accessories

Are video games on your holiday shopping list? No surprise if they are: 39 percent of adults are considering giving them as a gift this year. In households with kids under 12, over half (59%) plan to do so. Video games are the most popular electronics item this year, according to our first Consumer Reports Holiday Shopping Poll. Video game accessories are also hot: 18 percent plan on buying them. The arrival of the much-anticipated Microsoft Kinect certainly has something to do with this trend.

Here are some Black Friday deals we found:

Best Buy has the Nintendo Wii bundled with the Wii Motion Plus for $169.99 (regular price: $199.99).
Best Buy, Kmart, Sears and Target all have the Sony Playstation 3 for $299.99 (regular price: $399.95).
Best Buy, Kmart, Sears, Target and Walmart have the Microsoft Xbox 360 for $199.99 without the Kinect (marked down from $299.99, which is the going rate for the system with the Kinect).
Target has Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 game controllers marked down to $39 (from $49.99 to 54.99). You can also get the Wii Fit Plus (balance board with game) for $67 (regularly $99.99).

If you're buying a handheld video game system, there are more deals worth considering:

Target has the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) 3000 bundle for $127 (regularly $170)
The PSP 3000 is also available at Kmart, Radio Shack, and Target for $129.99, in a bundle that includes the console, "Little Big Planet" game, and "Karate Kid" UMD movie, and a 1GB Memory Stick.
Another portable, The Nintendo DS lite, is $89 (regularly $129) at Walmart.
