Honda has announced a new entry-level model for the 2011 Insight hybrid line that will start at $18,200—$1,600 less than the LX, the previous base model. Another notable addition is standard stability control across all trims, which was previously only available on the Insight EX.
The new model simply called "Insight" includes remote entry, fabric seating, and a base two-speaker AM/FM/CD stereo.
Starting at $19,900, the LX adds cruise control, two speakers, USB audio interface, center armrest storage, floor mats, and a security system.
The EX with MSRP of $21,490 adds steering wheel mounted audio controls. The EX with navigation package will start at $23,265, and it includes Bluetooth and navigation with voice recognition, points of interest, and steering wheel controls. The prices above do not include the $750 destination charge.
