CES 2011 Preview: What we'll see in tablet computers

Consumer Reports News: December 29, 2010 12:24 PM

One thing just about everyone can agree on: the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show next week will feature a abundance of tablet computers. CR senior electronics editor Donna Tapellini concurs.

Though a slew of would-be Apple iPad challengers hit the market toward the end of 2010, only the Samsung Galaxy Tab was a worthy competitor. But Donna says that will likely change, as numerous other major manufacturers announce their own tablets at CES. Expect to see much emphasizing of features that the iPad doesn't (yet) have, like USB ports, Flash compatibility, and memory card slots.

Take a look at our preview video for more tablet preditions. And check back here for breaking tablet news from CES next week!
