    Recall: 2007-2008 Honda Fit—Headlight problem

Consumer Reports News: December 16, 2010 11:07 AM

Honda is recalling over 143,000 2007-2008 Honda Fits due to a potential problem with the low-beam headlights. The plating on the wiring harness connectors for the low-beam circuit may become worn from use. This could allow corrosion, resulting in the connector to overheat and causing the low-beam headlights to not function. No related accidents or injuries have been reported.

The dealer will inspect the vehicle and, if necessary, replace the wiring harness terminal. If there is any damage to the connector, the dealer will also replace the headlight switch.

Honda will notify customers in January 2011.

Owners can call 1-800-999-1009 or visit www.recalls.honda.com for more information.
