Technologies built into Intel's new Core processors are meant to up the ante for sharing and viewing content of all kinds. Quick Sync allows for faster transfer of content from one device to another, for example moving a video from a laptop to a phone. The company claims that with its Core i7, it should take only 16 seconds to move a four-minute HD video from laptop to phone. Movie companies have been loathe to provide the latest HD content for streaming due to security and copyright issues. Intel claims to have solved that problem with Intel Insider. Movie compnies like Warner Brothers and Fox have signed on with Intel to more quickly bring high-def content to consumers via streaming. Finally, Intel announced the latest version of its WiDi technology. WiDi 2.0 can now stream 1080p video, as well as movies from DVD and Blu-ray players, where before it only worked with Internet-based, standard-definition content.
