Dell today at CES debuted the 7-inch version of its Streak tablet, which runs on T-Mobile's 4G network. It's the first tablet announced here at CES to run on the T-Mobile network. (When we looked at the 5-inch version of the Streak a while back, we found it capable but too small for a tablet.)
The Dell Streak 7 uses Android 2.2, but the company says it will upgrade to Android 3, the first version of Android written expressly for tablets, when that version becomes available. The tablet weighs less than a pound, has a front- and rear-facing camera, and uses Dell's new Stage interface.
The tablet's camera has a dual flash and doubles as an HD camcorder. The Streak 7 can also serve as a mobile hotspot and comes equipped with T-Mobile TV for live television viewing.
The Streak 7 will be available in the near future, but no date or price was announced.
