CES 2011: Sony prototypes show the future of 3D (video)

Consumer Reports News: January 06, 2011 04:01 PM

At CES this year, Sony is making it clear that 3D will be a big part of its story in 2011, letting consumers create their own 3D content and experience it in better ways.

The company is also showing off two prototype 3D products—a head-mount display that shows 3D imagery and a 56-inch glasses-free 3D—that take its 3D story even further into the future. Consumer Reports' senior electronics editor James K. Willcox took a look at these products at the company's booth and gives his perspective on how they might impact our 3D experience.

Check out this video and lots more news as the 2011 CES continues this week.
