We can never pass up a new list of the best places to retire, though we're not sure a lot of people really use them to make their decision. The huge majority of us, surveys say, just stay put when we leave the workforce.
Military retirees could be an exception, though. They tend to retire younger, often starting second careers. They may also be more accustomed to a periodic change of scenery. In any case, that's the intended audience for the latest list we've seen, USAA's 10 Best Places for Military Retirement, from the big San Antonio-based financial services company.
