Samsung announced this morning a new addition to its group of Galaxy Tab tablet computers: The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a 7-inch tablet that runs on the most recent version of the Android mobile OS, version 3.2 (Honeycomb).
The new Tab runs on a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core processor and features two cameras: a 3-megapixel camera on the back of the device that also shoots 720p video and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet's 7-inch PLS LCD screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600.
This tablet features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support—which means voice and video call support. It also supports Flash and HSPA+ connectivity, which provides for fast and smooth Web browsing.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be available in both 16GB and 32GB sizes. Look for it to ship in Indonesia and Austria at the end of October, and worldwide shortly after that. No pricing information has yet been announced.
