    Apple upgrades, cuts pricing on iPod touch and nano

    Apple today announced cuts to the pricing of its iPod touch and nano digital music players. The company also rolled out a white version of the iPod touch. The least expensive iPod touch will now sell for $199, while the iPod nano will go for $129.

    The iPod nano, the company's most popular iPod model, will sell for $129 for an 8GB version and $149 for 16GB, down from $149 and $179, respectively. Apple has also rolled out 16 new clock faces for the device.

    The iPod touch, which Apple claims is the world's most popular gaming platform, is now available at $199 for an 8GB version, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB. The 8GB version was previously $229. The device will ship with iOS 5 and iCloud access pre-installed.
