We've seen few dual-screen tablet computers so far, the notable exception being Acer's bulky laptop-like Iconia. But Sony introduced a much more portable dual-screen tablet at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.
The Tablet P sports two 5.5-inch screens, each of which can be used concurrently for different functions. For example, one can act as a controller while the other plays a video. The two screens can also be combined into one large screen, handy for viewing Web pages, for example. Readers can hold the tablet vertically, and it will look like a two-paged book.
The Android 3.2-based tablet folds for easy portability and weighs 0.83 pounds. You''ll be able to access Sony content, including some PlayStation games, movies, music, and e-books.
Sony's first tablet, the Tablet S, did well in our Ratings, with excellent touch response and a great display.
Keep up with the latest news from Consumer Reports' experts attending the 2012 CES trade show.
