Ford expands in-car app offerings through AppLink

Hands-free remote home monitoring and more on the road

Ford announced new apps available through its Sync AppLink at CES 2014, giving users more options for music, food, parking, and adding the ability to access their connected home's security system remotely from their car.

The new apps include:

Parkopedia and Parkmobile to help drivers locate and pay for parking in a garage or on the street.

HABU, which lets users select music to suit their mood.

Dominos Pizza, for ordering their favorite pie for delivery or pickup.

ADT Pulse app, with a suite of home security functions for Ford owners who use ADT for electronic home security. The app allows them to monitor their residence, change settings, lock and unlock their home and more, all using voice controls and Ford Sync.

These latest additions bring the total number of apps available through AppLink to more than 60 choices. All will be available across the Ford range. Owners of 2010 and newer models will also be able to update their vehicles with the new features. The true next-generation AppLink system will debut on the all-new 2015 Mustang.
