1965, 1994, and 1999 Ford Mustangs

Over the past five decades, the Mustang has gone through perpetual evolution, growing (and shrinking before blossoming again) in power and performance over several generations. With the all-new 2015 Mustang stampeding soon to dealerships, we thought we’d take a video ride through the pony car’s history.

While the 2015 Ford Mustang features a freshened look, it still remains true to the brand, modernizing the car with much more technology, advanced safety systems, and latest infotainment. Notably, it features an all-new independent rear suspension, sleeker design, lower and wider stance, and an available turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Don’t worry, V8 and manual transmission fans. Both will be back for 2015.

Production has begun on the sixth-generation Mustang, and like many enthusiasts, we look forward to its imminent arrival. Just as we did back in 1964, we’ll be lining up to buy ours and thoroughly run it ragged around our track. Can’t wait.
