It's a decidedly practical episode of the "Talking Cars with Consumer Reports" video podcast, talking all about boxes on wheels. First up, a viewer question asks about the Ford Transit Connect. Formerly aimed at commercial markets, Ford now has a passenger-hauling version. Consumer Reports just finished testing one, so we have plenty to say. Our viewer wants something for biking and camping, but we think there might be better choices.
That leads us into questions about minivans. We take another quick look at the segment, including why minivans don't have diesel engines and the reason no one ever mentions the Nissan Quest. Another viewer also poses a pretty big challenge: a fuel-efficient, three-row vehicle for under $10,000.
As with the other shows, this episode is also available free through the iTunes store. Subscribe to the video or audio. You'll also find the video on YouTube.
