Wireless phone charging is now available for any car, thanks to the FreedomCharge kit available from Brandmotion and shown at SEMA.
In addition to eliminating the need for cables cluttering up the car and freeing up power outlets for other devices, the Universal Installer Kit is designed to taper off charging as your phone battery reaches maximum capacity to avoid overcharging.
The system conforms to the QI inductive charging standard, which is being adopted for a wide variety of devices.
The kits are compatible with IOS and Android devices, and include a charging pad, wiring, and everything else needed for installation. In addition, the company is launching a line of vehicle specific kits, pre-cut and designed for a variety of models.
