You've no doubt seen a number of curved TVs by now. So it should come as no surprise that the curve is making its way into computers.
Samsung is one of the first out with a curved all-in-one. The ATIV One 7 Curved is a 27-inch desktop with the latest Intel Core i5 processor, a 1TB hard drive, and an HD display. But what should distinguish it is that HD display, which has a slight curve to it. We'll take a closer look in our labs once it becomes available in early February. It'll retail for $1,299.
The company is also offering a curved stand-alone computer monitor. It's a 34-inch model with a 21:9 aspect ratio, good for gaming and watching movies in their native mode.
Samsung's had a lot of success with its ATIV line of laptops, which consistently hit the top of our Ratings. It's continuing the line with the ATIV Book 9, a 12.2-inch model that the company describes as "blade-thin." Translation: It's just under a half-inch at its thinnest. It weighs in at 2.06 pounds.
The ATIV Book 9 will include Intel's fifth-generation Core processors, a 2560x1660 display, up to 128GB of memory, and a solid-state drive. It will also include low-reflection and outdoor modes.
Finally, solid-state drives get both bigger and smaller with Samsung's new Portable SSD T1. It's a business card-size solid-state drive with a huge 1TB of storage.
