Ion AirPro2 WiFi

VIDEO. The iON AirPro2 WiFi takes only fair video, lower quality than many Action camcorders. Pictures were a bit soft, which means it will be difficult to make out tiny details and very subtle patterns in the image. In low-light situations, the video was only fair: fairly dim, soft and grainy. It captures full HD video at 1920x1080.

AUDIO. It captures good audio in mono, better than most.

PHOTO QUALITY. In Photo mode it captures at best 15.9-megapixel stills with merely fair quality.

LENS. The lens has a fixed focal length; it has no zoom capability. The lens also has a wide-angle (28mm) capability that's useful for landscapes and group portraits, although you may notice a bit of distortion when you're shooting faces up close, for instance.

IMAGE STABILIZER. This model lacks image stabilizer, so your images may look shaky.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS. It survived our repeated-drop test. It survived being dunked in 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. This model is smaller and average in weight among all action camcorders.

The iON AirPro2 WiFi is a 2.07-megapixel camcorder with no optical zoom has a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 28mm (fixed). It lacks an LCD. The camcorder has a maximum aperture of f/2.8.

The iON AirPro2 WiFi stores video and photos on SD and SDHC memory cards and has no internal storage. It captures full HD video as H.264 files at a resolution of 1920x1080 at 30p frames per second and 15.9-megapixel resolution stills as JPG files.

The iON AirPro2 WiFi measures 1.6 inches wide by 1.6 inches high by 4.3 inches in length, and weighs 0.3 pounds.
