Detailed Test Results

This phone has excellent voice quality when talking and listening. This phone's range is longer than most and can conference handset to handset, like an intercom.

Phone features include call blocking for nuisance callers, an audio equalizer button that lets you change the treble and bass settings, a lighted keypad, which is essential if using the phone in a dark room, any-key answer and voice-mail indicator. To save energy and extend battery life, the phone automatically reduces radio power when its base is nearby. It also has chain dialing (helpful if you frequently use calling cards), multilingual menus, Push-to-talk (PTT) feature and is conferencing capable with an outside line. It's Energy Star compliant.

On the downside, phone setup is overly complicated. Handset lacks auto talk and a headset jack, which is a useful feature for hands-free operation.
