Detailed Test Results

This phone has excellent voice quality when talking; very good when listening. We found this phone's ease of use to be very good. The answerer has good message quality, an adequate 13-minute message recording time, and very good ease of use. Its range is longer than most. Can conference handset to handset, as well as with an outside line.

Phone features include a lighted keypad, which is essential if using the phone in a dark room, talking caller ID, any-key answer, a voice-mail indicator, chain dialing, helpful if you frequently use calling cards, and multilingual menus. To save energy and extend battery life, the phone automatically reduces radio power when its base is nearby. It's Energy Star compliant. Answerer has an audible new message alert and you can record a greeting using a handset.

On the downside, answerer message had noticeable background noise. Phone lacks auto talk and a headset jack, which is a useful feature for hands-free operation. Answerer lacks announce-only mode.
