    Detailed Test Results

    This phone has very good voice quality when talking and listening. We found this phone easy to use. It can conference handset to handset, like an intercom.

    Phone features include call blocking for nuisance callers, a lighted keypad, which is essential if using the phone in a dark room, auto talk (allowing you to answer a call by simply lifting the phone out of the base), any-key answer and voice-mail indicator. To save energy and extend battery life, the phone automatically reduces radio power when its base is nearby. It has chain dialing (helpful if you frequently use calling cards), multilingual menus, and is conferencing capable with an outside line. It's also Energy Star compliant.

    On the downside, phone setup is overly complicated. Handset lacks a headset jack, which is a useful feature for hands-free operation.
