This phone has excellent voice quality when talking; very good when listening. We found this phone's ease of use to be very good. Answerer has good message quality, a generous 20-minute message recording time, and very good answerer ease of use. Can conference handset to handset, as well as with an outside line.
Phone features include a lighted keypad, which is essential if using the phone in a dark room, talking caller ID, auto talk (allowing you to answer a call by simply lifting the phone out of the base), any-key answer, voice-mail indicator, chain dialing, helpful if you frequently use calling cards, and multilingual menus. To save energy and extend battery life, the phone automatically reduces radio power when its base is nearby. It's Energy Star compliant. Answerer allows you to record a greeting using a handset.
On the downside, answerer message had noticeable background noise. Phone lacks a headset jack, which is a useful feature for hands-free operation. Answerer lacks announce-only mode, and it is easy to accidentally erase unplayed messages.
