Design and features:These earphones have an integrated microphone and volume, music player function, and call connect/disconnect controls for use with paired Bluetooth devices. The earphones can be magnetically attached to each other when not in use for ease of carrying, and the manufacturer claims that they are water resistant. This model comes with eight pairs of ear pieces in various types and sizes, one pair of removable ear bowl supports, a USB charging cable, and a carrying case.
Sound quality: We found the NuForce BE6i delivers sound quality that falls in the very good range - it reproduces music and voice very well although it does have some noticeable sonic quirks. The overall sound can best be summarized as a touch lean and hazy. Bass (as in bass drums, bass guitars, stand-up bass, etc.) has good impact, is fairly detailed, and goes fairly deep. The midrange (voices, guitars, horns, etc.) is slightly thin, hazy, and grainy. The treble (cymbals, the upper range of violins, etc.) is extended and slightly prominent. The sound has a good sense of liveliness and is somewhat open--sound-wise it almost seems like you don't have anything plugging up your ears.
Comfort: As typical of in-ear models these earphones produce a sense of pressure in the ear canal opening might be uncomfortable for some. When the earbowl supports are not used, getting a secure feeling fit is very dependent on installing the right earpiece for the user's ear canal size and shape. While the "short" silicone and foam earpieces could be installed with no problem, the three "long" silicone earpieces that it comes with don't actually seem to fit the earphones and we were not able to install them. When the ear bowl supports are used the earphones feel stable even with vigorous head movement provided the right earpiece for the user's ear canal size and shape have also been installed.
