Performance: Overall this laptop's performance was only fair, well below that of many models but still good enough for routine tasks like email, word processing and web browsing. Performance was okay for routine productivity tasks but on the slow side, which you'd notice most when launching applications. It was slow for mainstream gaming, viewing and editing photos and editing music, and performance was okay for routine productivity and Web-based tasks but on the slow side. You would notice this most when editing photos or playing anything more demanding than casual games. Sound from the built-in speakers was inadequate for all but the simplest use.
Portability: At 4.75 hours, battery life was unacceptably short, so you'll be recharging more often than similar laptops. At 4.6 pounds, this is lightweight for a laptop this size.
Ergonomics: The keyboard, touchpad, labeling, and LED indicators were all well-designed, making it comfortable and convenient to use. The full-sized keyboard was wobbly and uncomfortable to type on. There's a dedicated number pad. The touchpad supports use of multiple-finger gestures to zoom and scroll.
Display: The display quality was good overall. Colors were in the ballpark, though not completely accurate. The display was anti-reflective, so there was little or no glare when viewing in a brightly lit room or outdoors. The viewing angle of the display is middling, so you might have to adjust the position for optimal viewability for one user and even more so for multiple viewers.
