Performance: Overall this laptop's performance was only fair, well below that of many models but still good enough for routine tasks like email, word processing and web browsing. Speed was adequate with writing, creating spreadsheets, video chat and other productivity tasks. It was slow for mainstream gaming, viewing and editing photos and editing music, and performance was okay for routine productivity and Web-based tasks but on the slow side. You would notice this most when editing photos or playing anything more demanding than casual games.
Portability: At 5 hours, battery life was adequate but not notable. At 4.6 pounds, this is lightweight for a laptop this size.
Ergonomics: Some of the laptop features, such as its keyboard, touchpad, and labeling, were well-designed, and were comfortable or convenient to use. The keyboard has large keys and was comfortably sized. Its high contrast letters were easy to read. There's a dedicated number pad. The power button was conveniently located, but its labeling was hard to read.
Display: The display quality was fair overall. Colors were in the ballpark, though not completely accurate. The display had a narrow viewing angle, so you'll have limited flexibility in how to position the screen for optimal viewability for one user, and it will be difficult for more than one person to look at the screen at the same time.
Useful features and attributes on this model include: The spacious 1TB hard drive offers plenty of room for storing your music, photos, and movies. You can connect common external devices such as hard drives and Blu-ray burners to the USB 3.0 ports for maximum performance. This laptop is compatible with HDMI for connecting to an HDTV.
Downsides: There are no significant downsides.
