    Alert

In January 2018 HP announced a worldwide voluntary safety recall and replacement program for certain notebook computer batteries. The affected batteries were shipped with specific HP Probook 64x (G2 and G3), HP ProBook 65x (G2 and G3), HP x360 310 G2, HP ENVY m6, HP Pavilion x360, HP 11 notebook computers and HP ZBook (17 G3, 17 G4, and Studio G3) mobile workstations sold worldwide from December 2015 through December 2017, and/or were sold as accessories or provided as replacements through HP or an authorized HP Service Provider. These batteries have the potential to overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to customers. For this reason, it is extremely important for consumers with these computers to check whether their particular battery is affected.

Consumers should immediately visit www.HP.com/go/batteryprogram2018 to see if their battery is included in the recall and for instructions on how to enable “Battery Safety Mode” if their battery is included in the recall. Consumer Contact: HP toll-free at 888-202-4320 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or online www.HP.com/go/batteryprogram2018 or www.hp.com and click “Recalls” for more information.

    Detailed Test Results

Performance: Overall this laptop's performance was excellent. Tasks like email, word processing and web browsing will be speedy and you can even accomplish tougher tasks like video editing and mid-range gaming at top speed. It was among the fastest with writing, creating spreadsheets, video chat and other productivity tasks. It was among the fastest for mainstream gaming, viewing and editing photos and editing music, and among the fastest with productivity and Web-based tasks such as word processing, Web browsing, casual gaming and video chat. Sound from the built-in speakers was inadequate for all but the simplest use.

Portability: At 8.25 hours, battery life was long enough to get you through a typical workday. At 3.5 pounds, weight was typical for a laptop this size.

Ergonomics: The keyboard, touchpad, labeling, and LED indicators were all well-designed, making it comfortable and convenient to use. The keyboard has large keys and was comfortably sized. The keyboard was lighted. The touchpad supports use of multiple-finger gestures to zoom and scroll.

Display: The display quality was very good overall. Colors were in the ballpark, though not completely accurate. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation. The touchscreen will make swiping, tapping and pinching the screen easy to use.
