Sound quality: In the Music sound mode Razer's Leviathan delivers sound quality that falls in the good range - it reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. The bass has good impact and goes fairly deep, but is boomy and somewhat prominent. The midrange is somewhat hazy and dark, and slightly grainy. The treble is uneven - the lower and mid treble is subdued while the upper treble is slightly prominent and a bit sizzly. This model does a so-so job of recovering room ambience (the sense of the acoustic space in which the music was recorded), and is somewhat congested. The Movie and Game sound modes sound similar to the Music sound mode. When the Dolby sound mode is used in combination with any of the other sound modes the sound field becomes wider and taller, the overall sound becomes diffuse and echoey, and the bass becomes more boomy. There was no significant difference between the optical, analog, and Bluetooth inputs. The system can provide satisfying volume in a medium sized room.
