Sound quality: Ion Audio's Magnet Rocker (2-pack) had Fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. What little bass there is has little impact, is subdued and doesn't go deep. Midrange is thin and grainy and somewhat metallic, hazy, sibilant, and etched. Treble is fairly extended but is smeared and sizzly, and the mid treble is prominent. Doesn't do a good job of recovering room ambience and sounds somewhat congested. When combined with a second unit to form a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement and sound stage may be somewhat taller. Provides a decent volume level in a small room.
