Detailed Test Results

Sound Quality: Overall, we found the speaker delivers middling sound quality. Expect some distortions or other audio issues. The bass, which covers instruments such as bass drums, bass guitars, or stand-up bass, has good impact but does not go deep, and it is a bit subdued and boomy. Midrange, such as guitars, horns, and voices from music or podcasts, is fairly even, but it is somewhat congested, a bit grainy and hazy, a touch etched. Treble, which may include cymbals or the upper range of violins, is fairly extended, but it is somewhat smeared, a bit prominent and sizzly. Does a decent job of recovering room ambience. The soundfield extends somewhat above, and a bit to the sides of the speakers, and while individual instruments and voices are identifiable, they only have a two dimensional quality. Volume is enough to fill a small sized room. If you choose to pair this speaker with another, the stereo set can be placed to provide better separation than other models.

Ease of Use: The speaker has plenty of features or accessories that add convenience during daily operation. Shortcut buttons on the console include: volume. Other controls may require installing a mobile app, available from Apple and Android. Its rating of IP68 has complete protection against dust and particles, and has protection against continuous immersion in deeper water, manufacturer-specified.

Versatility: It has many features users typically want and need. You can connect wirelessly to this speaker via a direct Bluetooth connection. There are no connection ports on this speaker. The speaker is compatible with Auracast, which allows connecting to other compatible speakers to broadbast in a party mode. If you have two of these speakers, you can use TWS to pair them for a wider stereo experience. To optimize your listening experience, you can fine tune the EQ levels, and it has preset tone settings to adjust different music types. There is no speakerphone functionality nor built-in microphone.
