Sound quality: soundcore's Rave Party 2 had decent overall sound quality - this model reproduces music and dialog reasonably well despite the obvious shortcomings in its sound. Used in the horizontal position (to provide accurate left and right channel orientation) with the soundcore app Custom EQ set to produce the most even tonal balance bass has good impact and goes deep, but is boomy and somewhat prominent. Midrange is fairly even, but is somewhat hazy, and grainy. Treble is fairly extended but the upper treble is slightly subdued, while the mid treble is a bit prominent, smeared, sizzly, and dry. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience and is congested. When two units are used to form a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. There was no significant difference between Bluetooth, wired and USB sound quality. It provides a decent volume level in a large sized room.
