Sound quality: Polaroid's P1 had Fair overall sound quality - this model has sonic shortcomings that leave a lot to be desired when listening to music but don't rule it out for dialog. Bass has so-so impact, is subdued, doesn't go deep, and the dynamic range sounds compressed on program material with strong bass content. Midrange is grainy and somewhat thin and telephone like; the volume level fades in and out noticeably with a speed and level that is dependent on the content being played. Treble is fairly extended but is sizzly and harsh, and the volume level also fades in and out noticeably with a speed and level that is dependent on the content being played. Doesn't do a good job of recovering room ambience and is congested. The speaker is monophonic. When two units are used as a stereo pair the sound stage can be made wider depending on placement. No significant difference between Bluetooth and Aux inputs. Provides a decent volume level in a small sized room.
