    Hardnine 5.0
Perhaps you’ve never heard of HaiBike, a German company that’s been around since the mid-’90s. Even if it’s a few decades younger than big names like Giant, Specialized, and Trek, the company built a mid-drive electric mountain bike that performed every bit as well out on the trail as models from those better-known marques. CR testers found that it had the most modern geometry of any of the bikes tested, which meant that it had stable handling on trails and gravel roads. Power delivery isn’t as smooth on the Hardnine 5.0 as on some of the other big-name mid-drive models we tested, but it also costs several hundred dollars less.

    About

The HaiBike Hardnine 5.0 electric mountain bike is, overall, a very good choice. This mid-drive bike has its electric motor located within the pedal crank housing, which allows e-assist to make the best use of the bike's mechanical gearing for more effective climbing, cruising, getting through difficult terrain. It also has hydraulic disc brakes, which worked better than cable-operated disc brakes, especially on long downhills.
