Aldi Recalls Simply Nature Organic Poppy Seed Dressing
The product might put consumers at risk for botulism
Heads up, Aldi shoppers: The grocery chain, along with the manufacturer of Simply Nature Organic Poppy Seed Dressing, has recalled one lot of the product because it could potentially be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. The recall was announced by the Food and Drug Administration on Sept. 16. No illnesses have been reported.
The 12-ounce glass bottles of dressing have the UPC code 4099100023169 on the shoulder of the bottle and a “best if used by” date of Feb. 16, 2023.
The product was distributed to select Aldi stores in 30 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The problem: The dressing has the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum.
