Eating alfresco with family and friends can be one of summer’s many joys.
But outdoor dining can have some unique challenges in warmer temperatures, particularly a heightened risk of food spoilage.
Make Your Yard Less Bug-Friendly
You can thin out the populations of nuisance insects like yellowjackets and flies by hanging simple pesticide-free fly or yellowjacket traps at the edges of your property at least a week before your outdoor event. (Different types are available for each species from hardware stores.) Just be sure you take them down the day before you entertain.
