Recall notice
In March 2014, the recall of more than 127,000 Hitachi Koki and Tanaka string trimmers, including the Hitachi CG22EABSLP, was announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada because the trimmer can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.
