Today is the final day of Wayfair’s Way Day sale, so if you’ve been thinking of shopping the sale, this is your last chance. While you may think of Wayfair as a furniture store, it also sells a variety of other items that have been tested by Consumer Reports’ experts in our labs and homes.

Our experts have combed through all the deals to find the best prices on products that perform well. The products we test are not the primary driver of Wayfair sales, so there are only a handful of offers on countertop appliances, vacuums, and large appliances that are actually worth it. In fact, many of these sale prices are the same or close to what they were right before the sale. But if you do find something you like, Wayfair is also offering free shipping on everything during the sale. And many of these offers are also available at other retailers for the same or similar prices, so you have options for where to shop.

It’s worth noting that there’s not always a rush to buy the items on this list, as many of the prices we’re seeing here aren’t much different from other times of year. That doesn’t mean they’re bad deals, but they’re not necessarily any better than usual, so don’t feel like you’re going to miss out if you don’t shop right away.

If you’re shopping for furniture, the discounts can be a bit better than usual during Way Day, but Consumer Reports doesn’t track those prices. So how can you tell if you’re getting a good deal on that dresser or coffee table? The best way to check the price is to search the web for similar items by doing a reverse image search. Copy a picture of the furniture into Google, since the same items are often available at other retailers but under different names, and you’ll get an idea of what others are charging.

Cookware

The Circulon ScratchDefense A1 Series nonstick set is $50 less than it was at the start of the sale. It may be a good option if you’re looking to replace your current cookware. It got top marks in our tests for cooking evenness and nonstick food release, and it did nearly as well when it came to handle temperature, nonstick durability, and heating speed. In this set, you’ll get two frying pans, a saute pan, two sauce pans, and a stock pot, along with four lids.

Still undecided?
CR's expert guidance and unbiased reviews can help you purchase with confidence.

The Farberware Millenium stainless steel set is a great, low-cost option if you’re interested in moving away from nonstick cookware. Plus, Wayfair’s price beats every other major retailer by $30, making this one of the better deals you’ll find during Way Day. The reason this is CR Recommended? It gets a perfect score in cooking evenness, and it gets nearly as good scores in all our other tests. The only places it falls a little short are handle sturdiness and sauce simmering.

Countertop Appliances

The 6-quart 1,350-watt DeLonghi Livenza , now $30 less than at the start of the sale, is another multi-cooker without a pressure-cook function, so fast cooking isn’t its promise. But its slow-cooking mode is top-notch, with the model earning a strong rating in that test. It also earns top-notch scores for sautéing and steaming, both tests that few models ace.

This cooker has a baking function, too, which we tested with mixed results. Our chocolate chip bars were nice and chewy on top but burnt on the bottom around the corners of the pot. Like the Cuisinart above, this cooker’s oblong shape is useful for bulky roasts and racks of ribs.

As glass-carafe drip coffee machines go, this Cuisinart drip coffee maker ranks among the best—it’s now $10 less than it was at the start of the sale and $30 less than its typical price. This machine performs superbly in our brewing tests and really well in our assessments for general handling and convenience. You can program it to brew at a certain time and tailor the brew strength to your desired preferences. An indicator light lets you know when it’s time to clean it. Cuisinart, as a brand, earns high owner-satisfaction and reliability scores for its drip coffee makers.

The large Cuisinart AIR-200 has a window and a light so you can see your food cooking, and its large six-quart capacity means there’s enough room to cook for a crowd or to air fry an entire meal. Touchscreen controls come with five cooking pre-sets, including one for frozen snacks and one for leftovers, and a toss reminder alerts you when it’s time to flip your food. The AIR-200 also comes with a generous three-year warranty.

The GE G8H1AASSPSS Blender typically costs $69, but it’s now $10 less. This is an immersion model that comes with a whisk and chopper, and it’s available now at a sweet price. It showed excellent performance in our soup puree tests, and the chopper attachment did a great job grating cheese. The whisk attachment allows you to quickly whip egg whites to stiff peaks and easily turn heavy cream into rich whipped cream.

Bodum Travel Coffee Press

Bodum Travel Coffee Press

This is a basic, no-frills portable coffee press. It didn’t wow our testers, but it did the job without letting coffee grounds seep through the filter. Plus, the plastic is insulated, helping keep the coffee warm for longer. It has no discernible flaws, so if you’re looking for a low-cost, small coffee press, this could be the answer.

Air Care

Vornado Flippi V6 Personal Air Circulator

Vornado Flippi V6 Personal Air Circulator

If you’re looking for a small fan to keep things cool at your desk or on a bedside table, this little Vornado model could fit the bill. It’s quiet and fairly versatile, with a 180-degree tilt and two speed settings.

Vacuums

The Shark Wandvac might be small and lightweight, but it’s impressive at picking up pet hair and reaching into tight, hard-to-clean spaces. It’s also one of the quieter hand vacs we’ve tested. We like its convenient charging setup and the fact that you can store the vacuum’s accessories in the charging stand.

Bed and Bath

Large Appliances

The 33-inch GE GSE23GGPWW earns stellar ratings for temperature uniformity and thermostat performance. This side-by-side model also receives a strong score for ease of use, and it’s equipped with some nice bells and whistles, including digital controls, a built-in water filter, and a through-the-door water/ice dispenser. In our latest member survey, GE side-by-side refrigerators received a very good rating for predicted reliability but a lousy score for owner satisfaction.

The LG WM3400CW is already quite inexpensive even when it’s not discounted. It is $30 more than it has been in recent weeks, but this is still a nice price. Especially given the quality of its performance, it is a smart buy as well as an environmentally friendly choice. You still get exceptional washing performance along with water and energy efficiency. But this model isn’t particularly gentle on fabrics, so you might want to try the delicate cycle for your best threads. This washer’s claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet, and its cycle time is 105 minutes.

The self-defrosting GE FUF14DLRWW offers top performance at a good value, even if the price is $50 higher than its best price of the year. This small, upright freezer aces both the thermostat control and temperature uniformity tests, and it’s very good (though not the best) at keeping food frozen during a power outage. It earns a middling score for noise. It’s impressive in energy efficiency and has a bonus quick-freeze feature, which is a welcome addition at this price.

Garbage Disposals

The 1.25-hp Frigidaire FF13DISPC1 has dropped in price by over $30 compared to its pre-sale price, so if you’re looking to replace your garbage disposal, this could be the perfect opportunity. It is a continuous-feed garbage disposal excelled in our tests, quickly and (fairly) quietly grinding scraps into small particles that won’t cause clogs. The 13-pound disposal comes with a 10-year warranty, a removable splash guard, and a plug-in power cord. Its magnetic ring prevents utensils from falling inside, and antimicrobial protection guards against odors.

Organization

Seville Classics 2-Tier Expandable Under-the-Sink Organizer

Seville Classics 2-Tier Expandable Under-the-Sink Organizer

If the cabinet under your sink is tall enough, a two-tier organizer can be a game-changer. Not only will you gain access to additional surface area for storage, but it can also be a great way to corral items without having to purchase a separate basket or bin.
